About Us
At Little Muddy Griffons, we’re passionate about raising Wirehaired Pointing Griffons that are both devoted family companions and exceptional gun dogs. Located in western North Dakota, our journey with bird dogs began over a decade ago through hunting and training. But it was discovering the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon—with their intelligence, versatility, and grit—that truly captured our hearts.
Our Griffons are first and foremost working dogs. Throughout the hunting season, they’re in the field doing what they were bred to do—pointing, retrieving, and covering ground with determination. In the off-season, they thrive on time at the lake and being part of daily family life.
We believe in preserving and bettering the breed by thoughtfully pairing dogs with proven hunting ability, sound structure, and even temperament. Each of our puppies is raised in a hands-on, family environment with early socialization and exposure to the outdoors, laying a solid foundation for confident, capable hunting companions.
